Dear Mythodea Community,
For about two years, the AG artefacts, as an association of plot authors and gamemasters from different disciplines, has been working on all topics concerning artefacts, special abilities and mystical components. In cooperation with the plot committee, the Working Group (AG) on World Mechanics and the Working Group on Rules and Regulations, we accompanied the transfer of the old artifact world into the new Mythodea campaign. It was our task to design and implement guidelines and processes for the creation, use, support and administration of these three themes for both the plot authors and the players. In order to make our work in the AG easier and more structured, and to give gamemasters, authors and the players concerned access to the relevant information, we created the Artefact Web Tool, which now contains several hundred entries. We were very proud of what has been achieved and also of the fact that the community has constructively supported all these things, even if it took a bit longer than expected.

Current changes
However, with the structural changes in Live Adventure, which began shortly before ConQuest 2019, all AGs in the team were temporarily put on hold. For good reason, the new plot managers at LA, in this particular case Ruth with her directing team, first had to bring all administrative and decision-making processes back to the company in order to decide what the future handling should be after some testing and validation. Unfortunately, due to the innumerable projects, it has not yet been possible to clarify how to proceed with artifacts, capabilities and components, so that the AG Artifacts has not yet been able to resume its work.
While we’re impatient for months and have been wanting to confirm the features you’ve gained, we can understand that it takes time to learn the processes and background. However, since the other AGs, on whose close cooperation we have been dependent up to now, are still on hold or have disbanded, we don’t see any perspective for the AG Artefakte at the moment. At the moment, we don’t have the authority and possibilities to resume work and we wouldn’t have the author nor the game management structures to link up with the related tasks.
We have therefore decided not to continue the AG. It would be better if the topics of the AG could either be dealt with within LA or if a new allocation, possibly of subtasks, could be made. We do not want to hinder this change process.
